BRANCH MANAGER (1 POSITION)
JOB BRIEF
We are looking for a talented Branch manager to assign and direct all work performed in the branch and to supervise all areas of operation. You will manage staff, foster a positive environment and ensure customer satisfaction and proper branch operation. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets achievement.
JOB ROLE
- Budget planning for each year and business strategy planning and implementation.
- Business parameters achievement in respect Deposits and advances.
- Profit planning for the branch and exploring the ways to improve fee based income and commissions.
- Management of Back office operations including clearing
- Cash Management and adhering to all control measures to safeguard the Bank’s interest in cash dealings and cash in transit.
- Suitable policy and implementation for improvement of performance of all staff.
- Risk assessment of operations and suitable mitigation techniques implementation
- Associate with audit operations and removing the observations of audit from time to time.
- Customer service and customer grievances redressed.
- Market survey for introduction of new Banking products.
- Undertake marketing activities of all products
- Management of all staff and performance appraisal of each staff.
- Study of peer bank’s products and services from time to time and recommending to management proper service charges.
- Management of all types of transfer of funds
- Submission of reports to management.
- Expenditure /Cost control measures to improve profitability.
- Review of all Bank products from time to time and make products competitive.
- Responsible for making sure that bank policies and management decisions concerning the bank’s business practices are known and adhered to by all branch staff.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
JOB REQUIREMENT
- A minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Banking and Finance or relevant field
- A minimum of four years’ experience in a similar position working in banking.
- Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices
- Ability to meet sales targets and production goals
- Excellent interpersonal skills, presentation and written communication skills
- A self- starter who can operate both individually and as part of a team
- Analytical mind, good attention to details, problem solving, good time management skills and the ability to multi-task work under pressure
- Results driven and customer focused
- Leadership and human resources management skills
- Ability to self-motivate, be resilient and effectively enable the change and adherence to policies and regulatory statutory standards
